In 2006, Kevin Sharp and Jeff Toner founded an adult roller hockey league, originally called “SPINLINE Elite League,” which was created on one fundamental principle – a league full of players who will be a good role model for the youth program and give these kids something to look forward to. To this date, the league has stuck very close to this basic principle. The players of the league continually support the SPINLINE youth program. For example, the players run the youth skills competition for the wrap-up tournament and show off their skills at the annual AMRHL “Show-Case Game” for them to watch.

AMRHL started with a mere four teams but quickly expanded to 10 teams in just five years. In 2012, they merged with Edmonton Inline to create “Alberta Men’s Roller Hockey League” which brought together 14 of the top roller hockey teams in Sherwood Park and Greater Edmonton Area.

AMRHL has a President and four Directors/Coordinators who manage the daily operations of the league, which has led to un-matched professionalism and quality. Through the support of SPINLINE and Edmonton Inline they are able to play games on sport court, which is an inline specific floor and has help elevate and develop the skills of the players in the league. In future years they will continue to strive to provide excellent service to their players, referees and fans. The AMRHL is most proud of their contribution to the younger SPINLINE and Edmonton Inline players.
